Powers is pleased to announce that fourteen of the firm’s attorneys across four practice areas have been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America© 2022. Thirteen attorneys were recognized in Best Lawyers, and one was recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch.

Principal Sherry Gray is recognized in the Education Law section of Best Lawyers for the eighth year in a row. In 2020, Sherry was selected as the “Lawyer of the Year” for education law in the Washington, D.C. region.

The firm’s Healthcare practice has eight attorneys recognized, including Principals Mark Fitzgerald, Diane Millman, Barbara Straub Williams, Ron Connelly, Rob Portman and Jim Jorling, along with Senior Counsel Jim Pyles and Mary Susan Philp. Mark Fitzgerald has been recognized for the past 11 years; Diane Millman has been recognized for 20 years; and Barbara Williams and Jim Pyles have been recognized for four years. Jim Jorling, Rob Portman and Mary Susan Philp are recognized for the second year in a row for their accomplishments.

Healthcare Associate Mark Ogunsusi was selected for Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch, awarded to those attorneys who are junior in their career, for outstanding professional excellence in private practice. Mark was also awarded this honor in 2021.

Principals Brian Gunn, Paul Moorehead and Kevin Wadzinski are recognized in the Native American Law section. Best Lawyers has recognized Paul and Kevin for ten years and Brian for eight years.

Senior Counsel Bob Saner is recognized in non-profit/charities law.
