Powers Principal Peter Thomas will present Tuesday, September 10th at CareForum 2019, an annual conference taking place this year in Kansas City, Missouri.

Peter’s session, titled “Current Legislative and Regulatory Landscape for Post-Acute Care (PAC) Providers,” will cover policy developments in across the post-acute care spectrum and uncertainty faced by PAC providers.  He will also delve into the future of PAC, discussing the shift to value-based care and unified payment models.

CareForum is an annual conference for WellSky (formerly Mediware) users and the wider community of professionals in acute and post-acute health care and human services. Peter Thomas has been a legislative and regulatory advocate for more than 25 years. His practice focuses on healthcare from a rehabilitation and disability perspective, Medicare coverage and reimbursement policy, Medicare audits and appeals, medical rehabilitation services, devices and research, appropriations, and vocational and community services and supports.
