NODPowers Pyles Sutter & Verville was recently recognized for 30 years of pro bono service as General Counsel to the National Organization on Disability. The recognition came from former President George H. W. Bush, NOD’s Honorary Chairman. Powers Principal Bob Saner accepted the recognition at an October 17 luncheon in New York celebrating NOD’s 30th Anniversary. Saner, along with Powers Principal Dick Verville, incorporated NOD in 1982, and have provided advice and counsel throughout the organization’s history. Former President Bush characterized their role as not merely keeping the client “on the right side of the law” but also playing a “pivotal role” in assuring the disability advocate’s long term success.
