Powers Senior Director of Government Affairs Jeremy Scott presented on a panel recently for the for the Oncology Nursing Society’s Health Policy and Advocacy Program.

Jeremy discussed the Coalition to Improve Access to Cancer Care and the issues related to oral parity and the Cancer Drug Parity Act. The panel also discussed the outcome of the November election, what to expect in the next Congress, the ongoing pandemic, and the impact oncology nurses can have on each of these issues. Jeremy was joined by Keysha Brooks-Coley with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network and Rachel Stevenson with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing representing the Nursing Community Coalition.


Jeremy is a Senior Director of Government Affairs in the Powers Pyles Sutter & Verville Government Relations Practice, where he focuses on health care policy and representing the interests of nonprofit, advocacy and health organizations. Jeremy counsels clients on various policy and advocacy issues, including advancing authorization legislation, securing federal appropriations support for programmatic funding increases, and working with federal agencies on the implementation of legislation or proposed rules.
