Powers Principal Peggy Tighe was named as a top lobbyist of 2020 today by the National Institute for Lobbying & Ethics (NILE).

The Top Lobbyists award is an annual list of government affairs professionals that have seen significant legislative success over the year, have been innovative in their field, are held in high regard by their clients, and who give back to their community through charity or pro bono work. The award selection process involved a nomination by a peer or client, followed by a blind judging process in which lobbyists were chosen based solely on merit.

Peggy was one of 16 lobbyists chosen for the small firm category and one of only 75 lobbyists chosen for the overall list. The honor designates Peggy as one of the top professionals in her field, and points to her esteem among her peers and clients.

Peggy’s practice focuses mainly on developing persuasive policy arguments and strategies to influence Congress and relevant agencies for health systems, patient groups, and provider organizations. She works to protect and support providers and the patients they serve through coalition building, implementing grassroots campaigns, and coordinating media relations.
