Powers Principal Bobby Silverstein was a featured guest on a Women in Government podcast episode titled “Increasing Access & Opportunity: 30 Years of the Americans with Disabilities Act.”

In the podcast, Bobby joins Illinois State Senator Julie Morrison and U.S. Department of Labor Senior Policy Advisor Nadia Mossburg to discuss the enactment of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) 30 years ago, as well as the importance of the ADA today and what the future holds.

Bobby, a behind-the-scenes architect of the ADA, discusses the various factors that went into getting the bill passed in 1990 and shares his personal experience working with policymakers on both sides of the aisle to push through the legislation.
