Powers is pleased to announce that Megan La Suer has joined the firm’s healthcare practice group.

Megan previously worked as a summer associate at Powers while earning her Master’s in Health Administration from The University of Iowa College of Public Health in 2018. Prior to working at Powers, Megan worked as a graduate assistant for the Rural Policy Research Institute.

Megan earned her J.D. from The University of Iowa College of Law in 2017. In law school, she worked closely with the Iowa Alumni Relations as a student ambassador and served as a member of the Iowa Student Bar Association and the Graduate & Professional Student Government.

She graduated from the University of Iowa in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Economics, focusing her studies on health administration and international health issues.

Megan will be joining the Powers Healthcare practice, which has represented healthcare entities of virtually every size, type and description since its inception in 1983. Powers provides a comprehensive range of legal services related to the particular needs, concerns, and issues faced by healthcare providers in this highly regulated environment.

The firm is well known for its Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, fraud and abuse, drug pricing and 340B, transactional, litigation and disability practices, as well as its expertise in HIPAA compliance and medical privacy issues.

Powers attorneys are true advocates who work to influence legislative and administrative policy, vigorously represent their clients’ interests before the courts and agencies, and apply their experience to the benefit of clients in matters concerning the complex interplay of regulations and their effect on healthcare providers and practitioners.
