Powers Pyles Sutter & Verville PC is pleased to announce that Hannah Hauer, an Associate in the firm’s Healthcare Practice Group, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Disability Rights Bar Association (DRBA).

The DRBA is an online network of attorneys focused on disability civil rights law. Through the organization, disability rights attorneys share information, coordinate litigation and legal representation strategies, and mentor lawyers and law students entering the field. The DRBA supports attorneys and individuals with disabilities by helping strengthen cases, advance legal arguments, and track developments in disability rights law and practice.

As a member of the Board of Directors, Hauer will help establish operational procedures and governance policies for the DRBA, oversee and administer the organization’s work, make decisions on behalf of the Association, and participate in periodic meetings regarding DRBA activities and prospective membership. Board members serve two-year terms.

Hauer’s practice focuses on complex healthcare litigation, including high-impact litigation involving the federal 340B Drug Pricing Program. She has represented safety-net providers in cases raising constitutional issues at both the district court and appellate levels. Hauer also has experience handling matters arising under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Affordable Care Act, and she advocates for legislative initiatives benefiting disability communities.
