Powers Principal and Co-Founder Jim Pyles was recently quoted in the Modern Healthcare article titled “Congress Says HHS Must Step Up Efforts to Secure the Nation’s Medical Records.” In the article, Jim was quoted as observing that a recent Government Accountability Office report that found that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is not adequately protecting the privacy of patient health records is consistent with his views for the last 14 years, adding that HIPAA was “terribly implemented.” Read the full article here.
