Hannah Hauer is an Associate in the healthcare practice group at Powers Pyles Sutter & Verville, where her practice focuses on complex litigation matters. She has been involved in high-impact litigation concerning the federal 340B Drug Pricing Program, arguing on behalf of safety-net providers in cases raising constitutional issues at both the district court and appellate levels.
Hannah also advises clients on compliance issues related to the 340B Drug Pricing Program and has experience representing and advising federally qualified health centers. Her practice further includes work involving Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement issues, as well as matters arising under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Affordable Care Act. She also advocates for legislative advancements benefiting disability communities.
Hannah earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2022. While in law school, she served as a student attorney in UVA’s Appellate Litigation Clinic, where she argued a case before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. She was also Editor-in-Chief of the Virginia Journal of Social Policy & the Law and a member of the Lambda Law Alliance and the Health Law Association. Hannah was recognized for completing UVA’s Pro Bono Challenge and continues to prioritize pro bono work in her legal practice.
Prior to law school, Hannah worked as a Medical Assistant at Madison Women’s Clinic. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Brigham Young University–Idaho in 2018, where she served as a tutor and teaching assistant for upper-level sociology courses and held leadership roles as President of the Pre-Law Society and the Sociology Society.
Hannah joined Powers in September 2022 after previously serving as a Summer Associate with the firm.
