Dorothy Mooney is the Executive Director, the senior non-lawyer professional, at Powers.
Dot directs the administration, development and implementation of policy in the areas of finance, human resources, benefits, facilities, marketing and recruiting and she manages a team of professionals who are responsible for the business operations of the firm. Dot is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, and along with the Committee and the President of the firm, develops strategic and long-range plans for Powers.
Dot brings more than 20 years of law firm experience to Powers and is very active in the legal community. She is the Past-President of the Association of Legal Administrators, Capital Chapter and is the President of the Association of Legal Administrators, Capital Chapter Foundation. Dot is also a member of the Society of Human Resources Management, National Association for Law Placement and the American Bar Association. Dot earned a B.S. degree with a major in Psychology from Radford University.
