Molly Evans is a Principal in Powers Pyles Sutter & Verville's healthcare group.
Molly provides strategic counsel to community health centers, healthcare organizations, and state and national associations on a full spectrum of legal, compliance, transactional, and governance matters. Her counsel helps organizations design effective legal structures, policies, and agreements that mitigate risk, ensure compliance with federal and state requirements, and support long-term sustainability and mission alignment.
As outside general counsel to healthcare entities, Molly advises executive leadership and boards of directors on corporate compliance, enterprise risk management, patient privacy and confidentiality, regulatory compliance, professional liability exposure, emergency preparedness, and nonprofit board governance. She frequently serves as a trusted advisor during periods of leadership transition, organizational restructuring, and regulatory scrutiny.
Molly regularly works with health centers and other healthcare entities on contracting strategy, partnership development, and organizational growth, including the negotiation and structuring of complex transactions, grant-funded programs, vendor agreements, and affiliation or integration models. Her transactional work supports mission-driven expansion while safeguarding organizational autonomy and compliance.
She also partners with associations and consortia to interpret evolving federal policy, develop model governance and compliance frameworks, and support the operational and strategic needs of safety-net providers. Molly’s work includes advising on Section 330 program compliance, FTCA and professional liability protections, board fiduciary responsibilities, and health center participation in state and federal initiatives.
Her prior service as in-house counsel for a large, multi-site community health center informs her practice daily, grounding her legal advice in a deep understanding of the operational realities, clinical risks, and compliance pressures that health care entities navigate every day.
