DESCRIPTION:Session 1:\nAugust 5 at 1:00 pm (EDT) \nSession 2:\nAugust 7 at 1:00 pm  (EDT) \nCamp Counselor: Jason Qu\n\nWhat We Are Covering in Week 5:\n\nSessions 1 & 2 – DEI and Nondiscrimination Laws: Legal Landscape Update \n\nRecent developments in case law and federal policy have shifted how key nondiscrimination laws applicable to health centers are being interpreted\, applied\, and enforced by agencies\, funders\, and regulatory authorities. These shifts have cast doubt on the legality of long-established diversity\, equity\, and inclusion (“DEI”)-related policies and practices and may be in tension with other programmatic\, contractual\, and/or state-level legal commitments.\nThese webinar sessions will provide attendees with a primer on applicable nondiscrimination laws—including Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act\, Titles VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act\, the Age Discrimination Act\, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act—and on the changing legal landscape surrounding DEI. Attendees will explore how to make strategic\, risk-informed decisions regarding the continuation of DEI-related activities (including but not limited to targeted programs\, data collection\, and employment practices) against the current backdrop of legal uncertainty and shifting norms.\n\n\n\n\nREGISTER NOW\n\nEach Compliance Summer Camp session will be recorded and available on demand.
