HRSA’s Health Center Program requirements state that the board is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws. But what does this look like in practice? We’ll break it down and draw from HHS Office of Inspector General (OIG) guidance to outline how boards can help lead a culture of compliance. Attendees will receive a list of key questions board members should ask (and that health center staff should be prepared to answer!)\, ideas for integrating compliance into regular board engagement\, and strategies for getting—and keeping—compliance on the board’s radar.\n\n\nSession 2 – Supporting a Strong and Compliant Health Center Board: Part 2\n\nFrom board composition and authorities to navigating “rogue” board behavior and enhancing engagement\, Part 2 will provide the tools and insights management needs to guide and sustain an effective\, compliant board. Attendees will also receive a bylaws review checklist and a list of questions that can be reviewed and discussed by the board to prepare for their Operational Site Visit interview.
